3 DAYS MOUNT ELGON HIKE
Mount Elgon National Park is a national park 140 kilometres northeast of Lake Victoria. The park covers an area of 1,279 square kilometres and is bisected by the border of Kenya and Uganda. The Ugandan part of the park covers 1,110 km² while the Kenyan part covers 169 km².

Day 1: Transfer to Mount Elgon National park
The Prime Tour representatives will pick you from your hotel after your early morning breakfast, you will then be transferred to Mbale where you will check in at the lodge and have lunch.
Drive to Mount Elgon national park to visit the Sipi falls. These waterfalls are found in the area which is the starting point for many hikes up Mt. Elgon. After visiting the Sipi falls, return back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay Mbale Traveller’s Inn/Starlight hotel/Casa del Turista.
Day 2: Hiking
Have your early morning breakfast, drive to back to Mount Elgon for hiking. The most popular route starts in Budadiri and follows the Sasa trail to the summit and then descends down the Sipi trail back into the Sipi Falls. You will have packed lunch during the hike to Mount Elgon. Dinner and overnight stay stay Mbale Traveller’s Inn/Starlight hotel/Casa del Turista.
Day 3: Nature walk and Departure
Take your early morning breakfast, then go for nature walk. The heavy rains and fertile soils in Mount Elgon National Park support the growth of thick forest and other vegetation that make nature walks extremely fulfilling. While visiting the caves, you encounter countless birds, wildlife and thick montane forest.
You will turn back and have your lunch. In the afternoon, you will embark on the journey back to Kampala, you will be dropped at the location of your choice or at the Airport for the departure flight.
