Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
Upon the arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be welcomed by representatives from Prime Tours Uganda.Transfer to Kampala city. Then embark on journey en route Murchison Falls National Park via Bombo road. Make a stopover in Luwero town for lunch at Unique restaurant/Royal restaurant/Best meals restaurant.
Continue northwards to Karuma falls where you will see troops of baboons staring on at vehicles passing by. You will be amazed by the beautiful water falls passing under the Karuma Bridge.Head on to Murchison falls via Pakwach and check in at the lodge.
Go for an evening game drive through the winding tracks of the large park as you watch the beautiful sunset. Expect to see elephants, Jackson’s heart beast, kobs, baboons, monkeys to name but a few. Dinner and overnight stayParaa Safari Lodge/Fort Murchison lodge/Murchison safari lodge.
Day 2: Boat cruise
Have an early morning breakfast. After your breakfast, go for a morning boat cruise to the Albertine Delta. This is where River Nile passes at a tip of Lake Albert forming the Albert Nile. Watch the beautiful sunriseas well as enjoying scenery of the aquatic life, expect to see the Nile crocodiles busking at the river banks, school of hippos swimming in the water, aquatic birds to name but a few.You will be swept off your feet by the spectacular view of the Nile waters gushing through a narrow gorge only about 7 meters wide falling to a depth of about 40 meters.
The boat will dock at a point a few meters away from the Devil’s Cauldron where you will begin your hike to the top of the falls. The hike is a rewarding experience as you will have various views of the waterfalls and you could spot the rainbow casted by the waterfalls. Turn back at your lodge have lunch and relax a bit.
In the afternoon, head to Fort portal where you will have a stopoverto visitAmabereganyinamwiru.Continue with journey to Kasese.On arrival at Queen Elizabeth national park, you will have a guided game drive through Kasenyi plains. Here the chances of sighting lions are outrageously high. Enjoy your game drive as you spot other game like buffalos, elephants scattered in the savannah vegetation.Dinner and overnightstayMweya Safari Lodge/Irungu forest safari lodge/Engiri game lodge.
Day 3: Climbing Lions
Early morning breakfast and off you go to Ishasha sector. This is the most remote area in the park yet rewarding when visited. It’s famous for tree climbing lions. Other mammals also inhabit the savannah grasslands and they include buffaloes, elephants, antelops, topi, Uganda kob, bushback to name but a few. The swamp in this section is endowed with numerous bird species that include the rare shoebill stock, collared pratincole, palm-nut vuture, pel’s fishing owl to name but a few. Have lunch at your lodge.
In the afternoon, proceed to visit the crater lakes of Queen Elizabeth Park. You will be stunned by the astonishing view of these small yet spectacular lakes.Dinner and overnight stay Mweya Safari Lodge/Irungu forest safari lodge/Engiri game lodge.
Day 4: Chimpanzee tracking
After your morning breakfast, visit Kyambura gorge for chimpanzee tracking. The trek will lead you into the nearby Maramagambo forest. Look out for other primates like black and white colobus monkey among others. Have lunch at your lodge and relax a bit.
Go for an evening boat cruise on the Kazinga channel, this connects Lake Edward and Lake George and it is a habitat for an extremely large population of hippos. Enjoy your launch cruise as you spot other games come to water by the river banks.Dinner and overnight stay Mweya Safari Lodge/Irungu forest safari lodge/Engiri game lodge.
Day 5: Departure
Have your breakfast at 8am, and after embark on the journey back to Kampala via Mbarara. Lunch in Mbarara town at Agip motel/Café Havana/Shaheen restaurant. Make a stopover briefly at the equator for photos and buying souvenir.You will be dropped at choice location in Kampala or at the Entebbe Airport for an evening flight.
