9 DAYS UGANDA SAFARI, WILDLIFE & CHIMPANZEE
DAY 1
Arrival at Entebbe International Airport. Representatives from Prime Tours Uganda will be there ready to welcome you.
Transfer to Imperial Resort Entebbe for breakfast and refreshment. Embark on journey to Murchison Falls National Park via Gulu.
Visit Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary located along this route. You will be guided by a game ranger to see the endangered white rhinos which are conserved in this place.
Thereafter continue with the journey and stop at Karuma falls. These falls pose a spectacular view that one wouldn’t miss. The troops of baboons that come at the road side gazing at passing vehicles are quite interesting.
Proceed to Murchison Falls National Park and drive through to Paraa Safari lodge. Relax and refresh before you go for a guided nature walk.

DAY 2
Early morning game drive through the winding roads of the park is often quite rewarding. Expect to see elephants, giraffes, Jackson’s heart beast, kobs, baboons to name but a few.
Boat cruise to the Albertine Delta. Expect to see schools of hippos swimming in the water, the Nile crocodiles busking at the river side and aquatic birds at the river banks.

DAY 3
Launch cruise to the bottom of the falls. Expect to see schools of hippos swimming in the water, the Nile crocodiles busking at the river side and aquatic birds at the river banks. You will be swept off your feet by the unfolding view of the magnificent waterfalls. The boat will dock at a point just a few meters from the Devils Hatch. Start your hike to the top of the falls and be sure to take photos catching the amazing view.
Lunch at Masindi Hotel in Masindi town.
Proceed with journey to Kibale National Park. A brief stopover in Fortportal to visit the Omukama’s palace where lives the youngest crown king.
Continue with journey en route Kibale National Park. Stopover at Lake Nyabikere for photos of the panoramic view.
Arrival at Bigodi, go for community walk.
Overnight stay Luxury Primate Lodge and Budget Bigodi community lodge.
DAY 4
Chimpanzee habituation experience in Kibale National Park at Kanyanchu. Packed lunch in the forest.
Overnight stay at choice accommodation.
DAY 5
Head to Bigodi village for guided swamp walk in Magombe swamp. This is a birder’s haven as it is endowed with numerous bird species that include the Great Blue Turaco, Green breasted Pitta, African Pitta, Yellow rumped tinker bird, Crowned eagle, Yellow Spotted nicator to name but a few.
Proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park for a Safari drive in Kasenyi plains. You will be amazed that chances of spotting lions in this area are really high.
Lunch at Enganzi Game lodge. Visit the crater lakes and enjoy the beautiful sceneries.

DAY 6
Head to Ishasha sector, the most remote area of the park. This is famous for the tree climbing lions. The swamp walk in this area too can’t be left out. It is endowed with numerous species of birds making it a prime birding destination. Among these are the rare Shoe bill Stock, Collared pratincole, Palm-nut vuture, Swamp flycatcher. You will also see large herds of elephants and buffalos in the savannah grasslands.
Lunch at Mwea Safari lodge
Go on for the pre-arranged boat cruise on Kazinga channel found between two giant lakes that are Lake Edward and Lake George. This is home one of the largest population of hippos in the world. Enjoy your boat trip as you also sight some animals come to water at the banks.

DAY 7
Kyambura gorge for chimpanzee trekking. Also watch out for other primates like black & white colobus monkey. The trek will take you into the neighbouring Maramagambo forest.
Journey to Lake Mburo National Park, stopover at Mbarara town for lunch.
Proceed to Mihingo lodge in Lake Mburo National Park for horse safari. This is the only place where horse safaris are done in a national park in Uganda.

DAY 8
Morning Game drive. Expect to see zebras, hippos, impala, common eland, jackal, African buffalo among others.
Lunch at restaurant of choice in Mbarara town.
Visit Igongo Cultural Site to know about the traditions of the Banyankole people.
Overnight stay Palace Hotel
DAY 9
Journey back to Kampala. Brief stopover at equator for photos and buying souvenirs.
You will be dropped at choice location in Kampala or at the airport for an evening flight.
