6 DAYS TOUR IN MABIRA AND RIVER NILE JINJA
The Mabira Forest is a rainforest area covering about 300 square kilometres in Uganda, located in Buikwe District, between Lugazi and Jinja and it lies north of Lake Victoria. It has been protected as Mabira Forest Reserve since 1932. It is home for many endangered species.

Day 1: Transfer to Mabira forest
Very early in the morning, have your breakfast, drive to Mabira forest which covers a distance of about 60km and takes around 2hours, along Kampala-Jinja highway, you’ll get into mabira.
Brief from the guides and go for birding activity with your birding equipments such as birding book, binoculars, book and pencil, enjoy bird species like Black & white Casqued Hornbill, African and Red bellied Paradise Flycatcher, Jameson's wattle eyes, Great blue Turaco, Tit Hylia, Sooty flycatchers, Toro Olive Greenbul among others. After birding have rest as you will be preparing for another activity. In the evening go for zip lining. Dinner and overnight stayat Mabira Rainforest lodge/Griffin Falls camp.
Day 2: Nature walks
Have your early morning breakfast at the lodge. After breakfast you will go for nature walks within the forest while viewing different and unique attractions such as butterflies, small mammals like red-tailed monkeys, vervets, grey-cheeked mangabeys and many nocturnal animals. Have lunch then rest. In the evening, community tours and come back at the lodge. Dinner and overnight at Mabira Rainforest lodge/Griffin Falls camp.
Day 3: Transfer to Jinja
Take your early morning breakfast and after transfer to Jinja town while enjoying the views of the Nile River and the new Nile Bridge. Check in at the hotel and rest a bit. Have lunch at the hotel. In the afternoon, go for quad biking around the Nile surroundings and in the evening go for monument viewing. Dinner and overnight stay; Nile village hotel and Spa, Source of the Nile hotel and Nile Front Cottages.
Day 4: Bungee jumping and white water rafting
Have an early morning breakfast, go for bungee jumping, drive to the starting point, and you will be rewarded with sightings of en route morning raisers. After a short briefing you will experience the bungee jump as you hit a series of wild rapids as you transcend to the bottom of the Nile river base and dangle above the Nile waters. Turn back for lunch and have a rest at the hotel.
In evening go for white water rafting at the Nile and you will be taken through this amazing experience. Rafters are provided with a helmet and high buoyancy life jacket specially designed to bring you to the surface and allow you to swim to safety through any of the rapids. A communal water‐tight case is carried in the raft for sun‐cream and medical essentials. First aid supplies are also carried on board the raft. Dinner and overnight at Nile village hotel and Spa, Source of the Nile hotel and Nile Front Cottages.
Day 5: Boat cruise and Horseback riding
After breakfast, go for a boat cruise,adventure the magnificent Nile River as you paddle through the marvelous rapids and explore in a slower and more relaxed perspective. Turn back for lunch, rest.
In the afternoon, have a horseback riding for an hourand guided tour around Jinja townin the evening. Have dinner and overnight at Nile village hotel and Spa, Source of the Nile hotel and Nile Front Cottages.
Day 6: Depart to Kampala
Have an early morning breakfast and then depart to Kampala with a stopover at Najembe for refreshments. You will then proceed to Kampala or Entebbe for your flight.
